B. The provisions of this agreement apply to workers in bargaining units for whom the Union can be certified as an exclusive representative for the duration of this agreement. G. Prior to the introduction of a redundancy, the university suspends open recruitment in the bargaining unit for vacancies in the current employee classification or in another classification where the worker held permanent status. The parties intend to achieve the objectives of Chapter 41.80 of the Washington Revised Code (RCW) with respect to the formalization of agreements between the Council of Regents of Washington State University (the university or “employer”) and the Washington State Federation, AFSCME Council 28, AFL-CIO (the Union or the “WFSE”) and the definition in this collective agreement (the “workers` agreement”). which are represented by the Union and are deducted from their contributions in another bargaining unit represented by the Union. E. Human Resource Services will check open positions in trading units before hiring to ensure that the correct classification is assigned. Positions are not redistributed during the incumbent`s trial period. The parties can, by mutual agreement, consolidate claims arising from the same facts. The university will ask the state for full funding of all bargaining units added in accordance with Article 5.1.B. All economic items (wages and benefits) must be financed by the state before these conditions are implemented.

D. If the General Services Compensation Plan results in a higher overall compensation plan for the duration of the 2017-2019 contract than Sections 24.1.A and 24.1.B, the university agrees to comply with the General Services Compensation Plan. B. Before being submitted to the SHR, the university or the Union will submit in writing to the other party any proposed changes to the classification plan, including the new classifications. At the request of one of the parties, the University and the Union are negotiating the effects of a proposed modification of an existing class or a new classification in the bargaining units covered by this agreement. In the absence of a lead, management decides whether a staff member in the rate unit is responsible for performing the lead tasks at the beginning of the absence. For the purposes of this practice, “absence” means absence from work where lead status is paid or unpaid at university.
